Best of Santiago
Santiago Nightlife Guide 2026
Santiago has one of South America's most vibrant nightlife scenes — a city where the evening meal rarely begins before 10pm and where the clubs and bars of Barrio Bellavista, Bellas Artes, and Barrio Italia fill long after midnight. Chilean nightlife culture reflects Spanish roots in its late schedule, but has developed its own distinctive character shaped by the country's music, cocktail culture, and passionate local nightlife community.
Barrio Bellavista is Santiago's most famous nightlife district, a hillside neighbourhood of bars, restaurants, clubs, and live music venues. Barrio Italia has become a more hipster alternative, with craft beer bars, natural wine shops, and smaller live music venues. The district of Barrio Lastarria offers more sophisticated cocktail bars and jazz venues. Electronic music, cumbia, and reggaeton all have strong Santiago followings.
